With the Florida trip leaving on Sunday, we wanted you to have the opportunity to put some faces to the names and know who would be heading out on the first YOAM trip outside of NOLA, as well as the first ever veteran trip. What an awesome way to start 2018! We’re praying the weather holds out to let us get wheels up and to Florida, and we know God will provide. Will you join with us in that prayer and in praying for this team by name?
Tom is a Marylander and is joining YOAM at the start of his several-week stay in Florida. He will continue the hurricane relief even after the team has returned home and probably get some good fishing time in, too.
Despite living in West Virginia, Amy is a veteran YOAMer, making the trek to Maryland to start the trips she’s been on. She has 2 dogs and cheers for the Ravens.
Jacob is from Columbia, MD. He is a full-time student, a personal trainer and love taking time to do videography and expand my outlets for creativity so that I am constantly learning something new!
Eric is a long time member of Glen Mar UMC in Ellicott City Maryland. He is active in both the middle school and high school youth groups as well as Glen Mar’s mission ministry. Eric works for the Defense Department and in his spare time is an avid golfer and bowler.
Anne lives in Nashville where she works full-time in the Music industry. In her spare time outside of YOAM and work, she cares for 4 guinea pigs, writes music, and plays with the Trevecca Symphony Orchestra.
Sarah is originally from Southern Maryland, currently living near Philadelphia. She’s a mechanical engineer. She enjoys knitting, spinning, weaving, and walking outside. She’s most excited about this trip because it’s an opportunity to help someone else.
This is a group of well-seasoned, mission trip veterans with a long history of YOAM involvement. Be looking for their insights into the trip by following the hashtag #yoamFL2018 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
Love and Peace,
P.S. If you want your donation to go toward the trip of any of these people in particular, be sure to mention their name in the comments of your donation (click here).
